The short version
- You send a link to your app, a test login and a one-line brief. We film it and edit it with zooms.
- You watch a watermarked preview first, within 48 hours. If the video isn’t usable, you don’t pay.
- Launch Pack: you pay $133 for each clip you approve, up to $399 for all 3.
- Once you pay, the final video is yours.
- Use a demo account with sample data, never real customer data.
- Our liability is capped at what you paid for the order.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Swoopcut, run by Harjot Singh Rana, an individual based in New Delhi, India. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Swoopcut. “You” means the person or business ordering a video.
By joining the waitlist, placing an order or paying, you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our refund policy. If you order for a business, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.
Swoopcut is a service for businesses and people building apps. You must be 18 or older to order.
What we make
We make launch demo videos of your app.
- You send us a link to your app, a demo or test login, and a one-line brief of what to show.
- We record your app in a real browser and edit the recording with zooms.
- We send you a watermarked preview. You pay only if you’re happy the video is usable.
- We deliver the final video, without the watermark, in the formats your plan includes.
Your preview arrives within 48 hours of working access. Final files arrive the same day you approve and pay. The 48 hours start when we have a link that opens, a test login that works and your brief, and we’ve confirmed your order. The clock pauses while we wait for an answer from you.
Plans and prices
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Launch Clip | $149 | One clip of 20 to 45 seconds, in 16:9 plus a social cut, with captions, a thumbnail and 1 round of fixes in writing |
| Launch Pack | $399 ($133 per clip you keep) | 3 clips in 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16, plus social cuts, with captions and a thumbnail for each size, 2 rounds of fixes in writing and 1 free re-record within 30 days. You pay only for the clips you approve |
| Always Fresh | $249/mo | Up to 4 new or re-recorded clips a month. Cancel anytime |
Any plan can be filmed on a staging link instead of your live app.
Prices are in US dollars and include any sales tax or VAT. The price you see is the total you pay. Dodo Payments may show it in your local currency at checkout. We may change prices for future orders. A change never affects an order you’ve already placed, and for Always Fresh we’ll email you at least 14 days before a new price applies.
Preview, payment and delivery
For Launch Clip and Launch Pack, you pay after the preview, never before.
- When the preview is ready, we send it to you with a payment link from Dodo Payments.
- If the video is usable, pay through the link and we send the final files the same day.
- If it isn’t usable and a round of fixes won’t solve it, tell us and you owe nothing. We delete the preview.
The Launch Pack is paid per clip. We send watermarked previews of all 3 clips, and you pay $133 for each clip you approve, up to $399 for all 3. A clip you don’t approve costs nothing, and we delete its preview.
“Usable” means you’d be happy to post it for your launch. It’s your call, made in good faith on the preview we sent.
Dodo Payments is the merchant of record. It takes the payment, handles sales tax or VAT and issues your invoice. Dodo handles your card details. We never see them. Dodo’s own terms apply to the payment itself.
We deliver the final files through a Google Drive link sent from harjot@swoopcut.com. The link stays live for 30 days, so please download and keep the files.
Rounds of fixes and re-records
- A round of fixes is one set of changes to an existing recording that you send us in writing: different zooms, trims, order, captions or text. Launch Clip includes 1, Launch Pack includes 2.
- A re-record means filming your app again, for example after you ship an update. Launch Pack includes 1 free re-record within 30 days of delivery. Always Fresh counts each re-record as one of your monthly clips.
- A new flow, a new brief or a different app is a new clip, not a round of fixes.
- Notes on the preview are free. Rounds of fixes count only after you approve the preview.
- Ask for your rounds of fixes within 14 days of delivery.
Always Fresh subscription
- Always Fresh is billed monthly through Dodo Payments. The first month’s payment link comes with your first preview, so you see the work before you pay. After that, each month is billed in advance.
- Each month you can ask for up to 4 clips, new or re-recorded. Unused clips don’t roll over to the next month.
- You still see a watermarked preview of every clip before we send the final files.
- You can cancel anytime from the link in your Dodo receipt or by emailing billing@swoopcut.com. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
- Refunds for Always Fresh are set out in our refund policy.
Test logins and access to your app
- Give us a demo or test account with sample data, never real customer data or an admin account.
- Turn two-step sign-in off on that account while we record.
- Never send a password by email. Share the login through a password manager or a one-time link.
- We use the login only to record the flow in your brief. We don’t open other parts of your app or try to reach anything beyond the brief.
- We never get around bot protection, captchas or other security checks. If one blocks us, we ask you to help.
- We stop using your test login when we deliver, and we delete it from our notes within 30 days of delivery.
- Please change the password or delete the test account after delivery.
What we don’t take on
We may decline any order, before or after you send it, and we don’t have to give a reason. We decline:
- apps that need real customer or personal data to show
- apps or content that are illegal, or that promote hate, violence or harm
- adult content, gambling, weapons and scams
- apps you don’t own or have no right to show
- phone-only apps. We film apps that open in a browser.
If we decline an order, you owe nothing. If you’ve already paid, we refund you in full.
Your part
- You own your app, or have the right to let us record it and show it in a video.
- Nothing in your app or brief infringes someone else’s rights, such as copyright, trademarks or privacy.
- You keep the app and the test login working while we record, and answer our questions within 2 business days. If you don’t, the timeline pauses.
- You check the preview and the final video before you publish them, including any claims they make about your app.
You’re responsible for claims that arise from the content of your app or your brief. If someone brings such a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs.
Who owns what
- Your app stays yours. You give us a limited licence to access, record and edit it, only to make your order.
- Final videos: once you’ve paid for a clip, its final videos are yours to use anywhere, for any lawful purpose, without credit to us.
- Watermarked previews stay ours until you pay. Please don’t publish, share in public or remove the watermark from a preview.
- Our tools and methods stay ours. You get the video, not the means of making it.
Showing your video as a sample
We show your video, or any part of it, as a sample of our work only with your written permission. An email saying yes is enough. You can take back permission at any time, and we’ll stop using it in new places.
Music and sound
The music and sound effects in our videos are licensed for commercial use. You can post your video with its soundtrack anywhere, including in ads. If you swap in your own music, you’re responsible for its licence.
Warranties and liability
We make every video with care and stand behind the promise above: if the preview isn’t usable, you don’t pay. Apart from that and anything else these terms say, we provide the service “as is”. We can’t promise a certain result from your launch, such as views, sign-ups or sales.
To the extent the law allows:
- Our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
- We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, revenue or data.
- We aren’t responsible for outages of third-party services, or for changes to your app after we record it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time. For Always Fresh, cancel as described above. We can end an order or a subscription if you break these terms, or if we can’t do the work. If we end it and you’ve paid for work we haven’t delivered, we refund that part in full.
The sections on ownership, liability, your part and governing law still apply after the agreement ends.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Before going to court, please email us. Most problems can be fixed in a reply.
If you’re a consumer, you keep any rights the law of your country gives you that can’t be waived by contract.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Swoopcut changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes, we’ll email the waitlist and our customers before they take effect. Changes don’t apply to an order you’ve already placed.
