The short version
- Supademo, Arcade and Loom each have a free plan. Each one caps the work.
- A free plan is fine for a quick internal demo or a test of the format.
- Swoopcut has no free plan. The Launch Clip is $149 for one 20 to 45 second clip.
- Pay for a filmed clip when the video must look finished on launch day.
- Check each price on the day you sign up.
Three product demo tools have a free plan as of 21 October 2026: Supademo, Arcade and Loom. Each free plan limits what you can make, through a watermark, a video length or a number of recordings. Swoopcut does not have a free plan. It films your app for a fixed fee, from $149, and you watch a watermarked preview before you pay.
What each free plan includes
- Supademo Free, $0 a month. One creator, 5 guided interactive demos and 50 video recordings at 4K. The plan is built around guided demos, so it fits a product tour better than a single film. Source: supademo.com/pricing.
- Arcade Free, $0 a month. 250 credits, one time, which do not refresh. Videos up to 30 seconds at 1080p, one seat, and an Arcade watermark on every video. Source: arcade.software/pricing.
- Loom Starter, $0. 25 videos and 5-minute screen recordings. Loom records your screen, so you run the recording yourself. Source: loom.com/pricing.
Where a free plan is enough
- You need a quick demo for your team, or a short clip to answer a support question.
- You want to test the format before you spend money on a clip.
- A watermark or a 30 second limit does no harm to the job.
- You have a few hours to record, cut and export the video yourself.
Where a paid clip is the better pick
- The video goes on a launch day, a landing page or a launch post, and it has to look finished.
- The final file needs no tool watermark. Swoopcut delivers the final video without one, in the formats your plan includes.
- You want the camera to follow each click, with the app captured at 60 fps.
- You do not have the hours to record, edit and export a clip.
Swoopcut films your app in a real browser at 60 fps, with smooth zooms that follow each click. The Launch Clip is $149 for one 20 to 45 second clip in 1080p60, with a social cut under 10 MB. The Launch Pack is $399 for three clips in 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16. You send your app’s link and a demo account. You get a watermarked preview within 48 hours of working access. If the video isn’t usable, you don’t pay.
